The first morning of wrestling has come to a close at the NCAA Tournament in St Louis. The Beavers had a great start, advancing four of their five wrestlers in the championship bracket.

Both Joey's - Palmer and Delgado - and Corey Griego won decisions and Jack Hathaway won by fall! Congratulations to all!

Cody Crawford lost to the #9 seed, but will take up the battle tonight in the Consolation bracket. The others will wrestle tonight in the Championship bracket, where the competition gets even tougher.

A few observations on the morning
- Corey Griego had a rematch of the Pac-12 finals in his match with Josh Marchok of Stanford. Marchok took the lead with a big throw in the first round, but Corey later countered with a throw of his own to take the lead back and hold onto it for good.

- Cody Crawford's opponent was from Applachian State, one of OSU's early season dual opponents. In that meet, Dejournette defeated David Henry by major 12-4.

Wrestling resumes with Session II at 6:00 pm Central, 4 pm Pacific. If you prefer television coverage, ESPN has the tournament scheduled from 4 pm until 7:30 this evening Pacific Time.

Let's go Beavers, keep fighting!

Go Beavs!
