Oregon State Wrestling Update Letter

Hello Beaver Nation,

The school year is coming to an end, and the team is finishing up strong academically. We just want to send out a quick update to let everyone know what is going on as we head into the summer.

Last night was the annual Benny Award ceremony, where two members of the wrestling team were recognized. Ronnie Bresser received the Most Valuable Player award, and Bob Coleman received the Most Inspirational Player award. Congratulations to both of them!

Conner Noonan will be heading east to compete at U23 Nationals in Akron, Ohio. This is a freestyle competition. He will be wrestling 65kg (143.3lbs).

The rest of the team has been hitting the weights three times a week. We also have a morning conditioning workout every Friday. The majority of the team will be around to work Oregon State Summer Wrestling Camps.

The Summer Wrestling Camps are July 1-10 this year, with a variety of great camps to choose from. If you are interested, or know a parent that is interested in sending their children (girls and boys) to camp, please have them check out our camp website below.

As a side note we plan on hosting our Orange Crush Auction and Benefit Dinner on Saturday, October 5. Please mark that date down in your calendar as this is a very fun night out and a great way to support the wrestling program. I will be sending out more information on the dinner in future emails.

GO BEAVS!
