Beavers Flatten Chippewas!

The Beavers took the score from their meet with Michigan and turned it on its head by the end of the meet this afternoon at Central Michigan, winning 26-9! Way to go Beavs!

Ronnie Bresser - 125, Joey Palmer - 133 and Seth Thomas - 165, all were repeat winners for the weekend. This afternoon they were joined by Jack Hathaway - 141, Corey Griego - 184, Cody Crawford - 197, and Amar Dhesi - 285, as match winners for Oregon State. Congratulations to all!

Joey Delgado, Abraham Rodriguez and Tyler Chay all had close losses to guys who were ranked #12. Tyler's match was very close, losing by just 2 points. Just a little more effort, guys, and you are right there!

The scariest news for Oregon State was that Jack Hathaway was injured by an illegal hold in his match, resulting in his win by disqualification. We sincerely hope that the injury is not severe.

Central Michigan had not lost a dual this year until they met the Beavers. In fact, they were ranked #16. Nice work, Beavers!

To read more details of the match, you will find articles at Oregon State's site and one from the opposition at Central Michigan's site.

The Beavers return home for a week of classes before hosting the Wyoming Cowboys at Gill Coliseum on Saturday, January 16, at noon. "The FALL" will be hosting a Social in the Loge following the meet.

The Wyoming meet will be televised by the Pac-12 network, but we hope many of you can be there to cheer on the Beavs. Wyoming is always a formidable foe.

Go Beavs!
