Two Beavers In Quarters Friday!

Oregon State Wrestling  Fans,

The same two Beavers who advanced this morning made another move forward in the championship brackets tonight. Congratulations to 125 Ronnie Bresser and Hwt. Amar Dhesi for making it to the Quarterfinals Friday morning!! This is the toughest tournament out there and getting to the Quarters is not an easy task!

Bresser won his second match 4-2, defeating last year's second placer, Ethan Lizak. Dhesi finished off his day with a resounding thud, winning by fall in the second period over Mike Hughes of Hofstra.

Four Beavers went to the NCAA's, two moved ahead in the brackets; for the other two, the tournament is over. Both Hunter Willits and Corey Griego lost their second match of the day in the afternoon session and were eliminated from the tournament.

The Beavers are alone in 31st place with 6 points, one of those points came from the bonus point for Dhesi's fall. The top five teams now are: Ohio St (36.0), Penn St (28.5) Iowa (27.0), Michigan (23), NC State (20). You can see all the team scores and the updated brackets at the FloWrestling site.
