Several of you have asked me to share an update about
the health of Donna Strobel, wife of Beaver Wrestling alum Greg
Strobel. Donna is currently in hospice receiving end-of-life comfort
care.
For anyone needing a history lesson, Greg Strobel is
one of Oregon State's most accomplished wrestlers as a 2x NCAA champ and
USA Olympic Coach. He is a great story teller. Greg was also the
Lehigh University Wrestling coach and on a personal note, it was his
visit to Corvallis in 1995 that first introduced me to the Lehigh
Mountain Hawks where I attended college. That was quite a dual when the
Beavers shut out Lehigh, 56-0!
Greg and Donna were in Corvallis cheering on the
Oregon State Wrestling Team at the Pac-12 Champs in 2018. Please send
your love to the Strobels and let them know how much our Beaver family
