Beaver Wrestling Supporters,
I wasn’t able to join the Zoom call last night, so thanks to Craig Scharer and Elizabeth DeAngelis for the update.
Coach Nate Engel spoke about the team making improvements from week 1 to 2.
- Hunter Willits and Riley Gurr were the featured wrestlers who shared their thoughts on the weekend.
-Unfortunately, the team didn't have time to see the National Wrestling Hall of Fame while in Stillwater.
-Academics continue to be a focus, and the team has a better GPA.
-There will not be any fans permitted for the home duals in Corvallis, but the Athletic Dept is selling cutouts that will be placed for all Gill competitions (volleyball, men’s & women’s basketball, gymnastics and wrestling).. Beavers Gill Coliseum Fan Cutouts – FanCutouts
-Mat funding is close to reaching the goal and fans are encouraged to donate.
-There will be an announcement next week regarding the Regional Training Center.
The Little Rock and Chattanooga meets can be viewed by all for free on Twitter.
