Greg Strobel's Coast-To-Coast Career

Former Oregon State National Champion Greg Strobel (1971-74) is now the Athletic Director at Lehigh. He was the wrestling coach there previously.

The Beavers went to Lehigh this past weekend for a dual, January 26.

Among the Beaver fans present to cheer for the Beavs was Ron Iwasaki, FALL Club member and former Beaver wrestler (1965-67). Ron snapped this picture of Greg posing with a poster presented to him during the meet. The poster is a collage of Greg's career in wrestling at Oregon State and Lehigh. Ron also noted that Greg's daughter Jennifer sang the National Anthem at the beginning of the meet.

Wrestling TailGater at The Hilton Garden Inn

Beaver wrestling fans met at the Hilton Garden Inn for a no-host dinner in the HGI's Stadium Grill before the Stanford Dual on January 19. Time for the tailgater was 4:30-6:30, the meet began at 7:00 pm. This was the first time we tried this format. It was well attended and those who went enjoyed visiting before the action started.

The FALL Board has arranged for a repeat of the tailgate party at the Hilton again this Saturday, Feb 2, before the start of the Bakersfield Dual. Time is the same, 4:30-6:30 pm, dual starts at 7 pm. All are welcome!!

The Hilton Garden Inn is just down the block from Gill Coliseum, on Western.

We will have a Social following the meet in Reser as usual. Social admission is free to members of "The FALL Fan Club", $5/each or $20/family for non-members.
