Kosoy competing, IMAR's baby announcement

Beaver Wrestling Supporters,

The college wrestling season is over, but Olympic training is going strong for the athletes of the Beaver Dam RTC.  Our own Mike Kosoy will be competing tomorrow in Texas for his bid to the Olympic Trials.  He will be battling to join Alyssa Lampe, Adeline Gray and Isaiah Martinez  who have already qualified for the Trials, April 2-3 in Ft Worth.

Last Chance Olympic Trials Qualifier Registrations Are Loaded (flowrestling.org)

Continuing the trend of the new Beaver staff, Isaiah Martinez announced this week that he and his wife Anisa will be welcoming their first child. Congratulations to the expectant parents!

In planning for next year’s NCAA tournament and years after, please see below.  After 2 years of absence, we look forward to having a great Oregon State contingent in Detroit.

Day 1 results

 Dear Beaver Wrestling Supporters

For those not aware Denise and I were able to attend the NCAA's on short notice and had a long & fun day 1 at the Enterprise Center here in St Louis.

Excellent coverage by Oregon State with the by round updates and summary by Jana and not much to add to the summary.  If I may try to add some insights:

  • I have not been to NCAA's since 1970.  I now recall how motivated you are Wrestling in the Championship Bracket.  Also how motivated you have to be in the Wrestle Backs for the opportunity to Wrestle for 3rd!

  • We have 4 out of 6 still Wrestling for that opportunity!

  • Tough 1st Round for the Team and a strong 2nd Round.

  • Hunter Willets loss was tough with a disputed 2pt call from winning against the #4 Seed

  • Grant Willets, Deavon Turner, Ryan Reyes all wrestled well after their losses to advance in the Wrestle Backs..

The Team is being aggressive!!

Bob & Denise Tomasovic
