Pac-12 Notes

Cody Weishoff's winning move at the Pac-12's.
The Pac-12 Wrestling Tournament gave the Oregon State Beaver fans a lot to cheer about. One of those moments was 174 Cody Weishoff's last second victory in his third place match. FALL Board member and ace photographer, Mike Denison, just happened to be in the right place to catch the excitement of the moment in this photo! In case you don't remember how thrilling this was, check out Head Coach Jim Zalesky, Coach Kevin Roberts and trainer Mitch Swee in the background! All the Beaver fans were on their feet, too!
Mike has promised more photos from the tournament. Those will be coming soon.

Wrestling fans at historic Monti's in Tempe.
Fans also had some fun before the wrestling began. A group got together at historic Monti's La Casa Vieja for dinner on Friday evening. One of the Monti's people gave us a tour of the fascinating building - you need a map to find all of the rooms - after we finished eating. It seats 725 people! History, friends and good food, all in the same place. Matt Franzblau, OS Sports Information, shared his photo from the event. A few people had not yet arrived when this picture was taken.

A big thank you to FALL Club members Lynn Martin and Mary Jo Mangrum for all the work they did to make all this possible. Lynn  rounded up and approved our hotel for the stay, and Mary Jo wrangled the reservations for Monti's and for  Buffalo Wild Wings. Thanks, ladies!! Mary Jo is the lady seated to the right of the guy in the orange t-shirt with the big smile on his face :)  (Must be a wrestler Dad!)

Thanks to Mike and Matt for sharing these photos!

Arizona State Meet I

Fans show their spirit for the tv cameras.
The Dual between Oregon State and Arizona State on Feb. 9, was televised live on the new Pac-12 network. Some of our youngest fans were ready for the television cameras.

By the way, those OS Wrestling  signs they are holding up are weather-proof yard signs and can be purchased from The FALL for $10 each. The signs come with a stand to put them into the ground. They look great at the end of driveways and in lawns. Do you have yours yet? Contact a member of the FALL Board for more information.

Again, thanks to FALL Board member, Michael Denison for sharing his photographs from the meet. These and the following are all his.
Benny was there to back up the fans and root for the Beavs!

OS Cheer team and the Pep band were also on hand.
