Oregon State Wrestling Fans,
The young, new Beaver team met with success on the road tonight, winning 8 of 10 matches to defeat George Mason 32-9.
Congratulations to the match winners: 133 Devan Turner (major), 141 Jack Hathaway (fall!), 149 Kurt Mode, 157 Hunter Willits, 174 Myles Terry (major), 184 Seth McLeod (tech fall!), 197 Corey Griego (major), and 285 Cody Crawford!

More Notes on Navy Classic
Following - The links to Flowrestling for live stats do not seem to work, neither at OSU's schedule page or Navy's most recent article.
(See this article for more news about the tournament, especially if you
plant to attend.) I have not been able to access the event at Flo
through those links nor have I found the Navy Classic in searches of
their events. Perhaps it just is not up yet.
I mentioned last time that FloWrestling was by subscription. It is, but you may also sign up for a free account which should give you access to the live stats. Sometimes they also provide video. For video you would need to be a paid subscriber.
Meanwhile, thanks to Craig Scharer for sending a link to an interesting article at Intermat about the Navy Classic. The subject is "Five Interesting Things to Watch For at the Navy Classic."
Roadrunner Open on Sunday
Another
Open tournament takes placBeavers Defeat George Mason- 32-9! & More Newse on Sunday. The Roadrunner Open, sponsored
by Cal State Bakersfield will be held in Clovis North high School. It
begins at 10:00 am PST. Usually this tournament is attended by some of
the Beavers' squad. The Roadrunner will also be carried on flowrestling.
Membership Drive On till Monday!
Don't forget - you have until Monday - Nov 20, to sign up to become a member of the Best Wrestling fan club on the West coast!

Coaches Update 11-16-17:
Beavers Recap: Beavers
had an exciting week of competition, last Thursday our wrestlers shut
out Eastern Oregon 42-6 with their only win coming as a forfeit in the
125 pound weight class. Then Sunday
10 Beavers competed in the Mike Clock Open, including two first place
finishes in the 125 and 141 pound weight classes by redshirt junior
Ronnie Bresser and freshman Grant Willits. We had a second place finish
in the 149 pound weight class by redshirt sophomore Alex Rich. Three
beavers had third places finishes, sophomore Conner Noonan (149),
freshman Aaron Olmos (165) and Sophomore Bob Coleman (184).
Up Coming: This
week starters will be traveling across country to Fairfax, Virginia to
dual George Mason University on Nov, 16th (today). They will then
continue to Annapolis, Maryland to compete in the Naval Academys annual
Navy Classic tournament on Nov. 18th.
Beavers will be competing against 15 teams, including.American, Brown,
Bucknell, Campbell, The Citadel, Columbia, Delaware Valley, George
Mason, Hofstra, Indiana, Kent State, Navy, Ohio, Naval Academy and
Purdue. We are looking forward to another exciting week of competition,

NCAA Tickets:
It's that time of year! If you are interested in taking the trip to the
NCAA Championships in Cleveland, Ohio. Contact Taylor Meeks, his email
is Taylor.meeks@oregonstate.edu. We need a head count so we can begin to pre-order tickets.
Fall Fan Club:
The Fall Fan Club is a group of dedicated individuals who help support
our OSU wrestling team. This group plays a crucial role in the success
of our program. For more information, or if you are interested in
joining The Fall Fan Club, please contact Elizabeth DeAngelis at Oregon.state.wrestling.boosters@gmail.com .
Pledge for Pins:
The Pledge for Pins Program is a fundraiser that helps get new faces
and talent in the wrestling room. It also helps support former OSU
wrestlers, such as Volunteer Assistant Coach Joey Palmer, who are
looking to pursue World and Olympic championships. Finally, these funds
are used to help athletes travel across the country to develop and
diversify their wrestling skills. Attached is our Pledge for Pins flier
that provides more information on how the program works.
Making a Difference Tournament: On Nov, 26th Orange
Crush Club will be hosting the annual Making a Difference tournament in
the Merrit Truax Indoor Practice Facility at Oregon State University.
We highly encourage k-12 grades to come and compete! Pre-registration is
required, the link will direct you to the tournament information and
flier.
