2020 Wrestling Championships Commemorative Program

Beaver Wrestling Supporters,
Hope everyone is catching up on work, home projects, phone calls to loved ones, etc.

Some of you probably already saw this, the program for the 2020 NCAA Wrestling Championships that didn't take place.  You can see Devan and Grant's pictures along with the rest of the athletes who didn't get to pursue March Matness in 2020.  In the pages that follow, it is fun to check the records for past Oregon State greats.

I also want to draw your attention to an ad on p.27 for a book on the 1947 Cornell College Dream Team, of which Dale Thomas was the captain.  Here's a link to an old InterMat article written about that team.  There was a stretch in the late 1990's when Dale Thomas' college coach Paul Scott came out to Oregon annually for a reunion with the Beaver wrestling alumni.  He'd spend a few nights at our house and regale us with stories.  The last time I saw him was in Phoenix when my family was there for the 2000 Fiesta Bowl, but he kept in touch with letters typed on a typewriter.  He passed on in 2003 at age 97.  What a cool guy!

Go Beavs!
