Intrasquad: Fans
were treated to 17 match-ups between teammates on the Oregon State
Wrestling team at the Orange & Black Intrasquad meet last night at
Gill Coliseum. The new, big central scoreboard also made its debut for
wrestling, making the inside of Gill look very different. Additional new
lighting really brightened the place up.
Wrestlers entertained the fans with three falls(Josh Reyes, Corey Griego, and Jamarcus Grant), two tech falls (Devan Turner, Hunter Willits), three major decisions (Ronnie Bresser, Kegan Calkins and Aaron Olmos) and one Over Time
(Logan Meek and Zach Evans). Besides those, there were some good
scrambles in many matches. Some of the matches were much closer than
their final scores would indicate. Nice work, guys!
Live-stream/Watch Again: Those who couldn't make it had the opportunity to watch it live on FaceBook. In fact, if you want to watch it again, go to the Wrestling Face

Book page, and scroll down to the video from the Intrasquad. The video is two and a half hours long, but you can scroll through as you like or watch it all again. Why not?
New Rule:
Fans were introduced to a new rule referred to as "Unnecessary
roughness". "Touching the face of your opponent between the brow and the
chin" is now illegal. The opponent is awarded one point for each call.
