videos. I learned that Kegan Calkins’
mom Jana was Real Woods’ host mom when Woods who is from NM went to high
school outside of
Chicago.

2021 Season Underway
The Cardinal went 3-2 in competition since our last update, bringing
their season total to 4-2, including an undefeated record in Pac-12
competition (3-0). Going back to January 28th, the team earned wins
against Cal Baptist (24-12) and Cal Poly (21-15). Jared Hill (174) and
Nick Stemmet (197) turned in noteworthy performances in the Cal Baptist
match, while Tyler Eischens (165) and Haydn Maley (197) made big
contributions to the win over Cal Poly. A full recap of those
competitions can be found here.
The Cardinal competed in a full day of wrestling this past Sunday, which
included three duals and 47 contested matches. The team opened the day
with a 24-9 win over host Little Rock, but fell to South Dakota State
(23-15) and Oklahoma (21-12) in subsequent matches. All three duals saw
noteworthy individual performances. Jackson DiSario (125) and Charlie
Darracott (157) stood out in the match against Little Rock, while Requir
Van der Merwe (157) and Nathan Traxler (Hwt) highlighted the dual
against South Dakota State. Jason Miranda (133), Jaden Abas (149) and
Van der Merwe (157) were the top performers in the final dual of the day
against Oklahoma, having each earned wins over nationally ranked
opponents. Finally, true freshman heavyweight Peter Ming's performance
in extra matches deserves some recognition. Ming recorded twBeaver
