Fridays at the NCAA's can be brutal. It's win or lose and go home time. The Beavers started out the day with everyone in the Consolation bracket. At that stage a loss means you are finished.
Joey Palmer is the lone Beaver still in the tournament. He needs to win one more match tonight to secure All-American status. A loss, and it's over. No pressure, Joey.
Joey Palmer, Jack Hathaway and Cody Crawford survived Consolation Round 2 this morning. Jack Hathaway added bonus points to the Beavers' score with another fall!
Joey Delgado and Corey Griego were eliminated in Consolation Round Two - Griego's match was close, 4-2 - leaving Palmer, Hathaway and Crawford as the only Beavers in Consolation Round 3.
Consolation Round 3 took its toll, leaving only Palmer for this evening. Palmer put his mark on the Round, adding bonus points of his own with another Oregon State fall! Joey faces Micic of Michigan tonight, so it doesn't get any easier.
Oregon State currently is tied with NC State with a total of 12.5 points in 22nd place.
