The NCAA's are barely a week away - more on that in the next email - but this is a reminder, the Wrestling Awards Banquet is coming up next month, Saturday, April 14! You won't want to forget and miss out on all the fun at the end of the season. Time to reserve your seats! The Invitation and Reservation form is attached.
For those who may have never attended a Wrestling Awards Banquet, it is a catered dinner followed by the awards program.
The coaches present several annual awards - Most Improved, Hardest Worker, etc; the seniors give a short talk on their reminiscences and plans for the future. Sometimes the seniors or captains give out some humorous awards of their own. At the end, Coach Zalesky will give his wrap-up of the season and a look to next season. Of course, "The FALL" provides some great door prizes and Silent Auction items for you to bid on.
A couple of those Silent Auction items have already been displayed at the last Social of the season. Take a look at this previous blog entry to refresh your memory.
Location of the event will be The Club level in Reser Stadium, third floor. Doors open at 5:00, dinner begins at 6:00 pm. All current wrestlers are the guests of "The FALL". Dress code for the event is described as "dressy casual."
While this announcement has your attention, download the reservation form (attached to this email), fill it out and return it and your check to our Treasurer, Michael Denison. Then sit back and enjoy the NCAA's!
Deadline for sending in your reservation form is March 31.
