Beavers Tame the Mustangs 31-12!

Oregon State took 7 of the 10 matches tonight, rolling to a 31-12 victory over the Cal Poly Mustangs. Way to go Beavers!

125 - Ronnie Bresser started things off right with a tech fall just before time elapsed in the third period, 20-4.

133 - Joey Palmer accepted a forfeit from Cal Poly.

141 - Jack Hathaway defeated Sweet Home, Oregon's Schilling 5-3.

149 Joey Delgado won by major, 12-2.

157 - Abraham Rodriquez picked up a 5-0 decision.

165 - Kennen Lanteri filled in for Seth Thomas and led the match until the closing seconds giving up a takedown to lose 5-6 to Blake Kastl.

174 - Tyler Chay lost by decision, 8-2

184 - Corey Griego won by major 14-2

197 - Cody Crawford was in a close match, but got caught in the second period and was pinned.

285 - Amar Dhesi was winner by fall in the first period!

One more dual awaits the Beavers before their weekend is over. Their next stop is Bakersfield on Saturday, Feb. 6, at 5:00 pm. Wrestling will take place at Centennial High School for any of you southern California Beaver fans who'd like to attend and cheer on the Beavs!

Sunday, February 7, the final Open Tournament of the season takes place for the rest of the OSU wrestling team. The California Collegiate at San Francisco State begins at 9:00 am. Some information can be found in this SFU article. More information can be found on this flier. The semi's and finals will be streamed, beginning at 3:00 here. Participation is not mandatory in open tournaments, but usually some of the Oregon State squad will attend.

Wrestling season is rapidly approaching its finale. After this weekend, all of the Beavers' duals will be at home, beginning with the Oklahoma dual next Thursday, Feb. 11.

The Pac-12's will be in Tempe at ASU on Saturday, Feb. 28, with the NCAA's in NYC in March.
