Beavers Trip Up Stanford 21-13!

In spite of starting off with a loss where we expected a win, the Oregon State wrestling team walked out of Burnham Pavilion with the win in their pocket tonight, cutting Stanford's winning streak short. Way to fight, Beavs!

The score bounced back and forth for a while, but then the last  three weights put the score back in the winning column for the Beavers and didn't look back!

Here is a brief overlook:

133 - Joey Palmer won by decision over Pengilly
141 - Jack Hathaway lost by major to highly ranked McKenna
149 - Joey Delgado majored Russo
157 - Abraham Rodriquez won by tech fall over Dempsey
165 - Seth Thomas lost by one point to highly ranked Jim Wilson
174 - Tyler Chay lost a close match to Galli
184 - Corey Griego decisioned Kron

Friday night the Beavers will be at Cal Poly for a 7:00 pm dual. Live stats for that meet will be covered by TrackWrestling. Cal Poly's article on the meet is also posted. That article also has a link to video stream at the very top of the page, so you might be able to watch, depending on how well their streaming works.

The Beavers will be without senior Seth Thomas, who will be taking tests for entry to medical school. Best of luck, Seth!! Kennen Lanteri will be taking his place at 165 for the rest of the weekend.

On to Cal Poly! Go Beavs!
