Last Meet of the Season - Sunday Morning Vs Boise!

Only one more meet before the final tournaments - the Pac-12's and the NCAA's - bring a close to the 2015-16 season! The Beavers host their rivals, the BSU Broncos, at Gill on Sunday, Feb. 21 at 11:00 in the morning.

This will be the Battle for the Border Axe rivalry, so the Beavers will again need a good, loud crowd to give them support. These rivalry meets are always intense, and crowd support is much appreciated!

You might want to be there by 10:45 so you don't miss the ceremony honoring our only Senior, Seth Thomas, as the ceremony will take place before the wrestling begins. This will be Seth's last match on the Beaver mat.

In my previous email, I said there would be two seniors. I erred. Seth is the only one this year. Francisco has one more year, as do several others.

Both Oregon State and Boise State have written articles previewing the meet. You can find more information on the meet in those stories.

At the conclusion of the meet, "The FALL" Fan Club will host a Social in Reser Stadium. This time the Social will take place on Level three, the Club. On the menu for this last Social will be a baked potato bar. Yum! Thanks to FALL Club President Cory Rahn for arranging the delicious menu we've had all season with Levy, the new caterer at OSU this year. Entry - free for all FALL Club members, $5/person or $20/family for non-members.

If you need a t-shirt to wear at the Pac-12's or a pin for your lapel, a bumper sticker for your car, the FALL will be selling those items, both in the lobby in Gill before the meet, and after at the Social. More of those fun door prizes will be waiting at the Social as well!

Seth Thomas will also be honored at the Social, so you will have another chance to say thanks and give him a send-off to the Pac-12's & NCAA's.

A wrestling related story in the news this week, Anthony Robles, a former Nat'l Champ from ASU, visited Salem schools. You can read about it in this article from the Statesman Journal. Thanks to FALL Board member Craig Scharer for sending that link!

Help the Beavers hold that Border Axe! Be in Gill Sunday morning! Go Beavs!
