Sunday - Beavers Host Final Dual of Season - Senior Day!

This is it! We're coming to the end of the 2015-16 wrestling dual season. The last meet of the school year for the Beavers will be this coming Sunday, Feb 21, morning - 11:00 PST, at home in Gill. Be there to honor our seniors for their final dual meet on their home mat as the Beavers square off against their border rivals, the Boise State Broncos.

Senior Seth Thomas will be honored in a short ceremony before the wrestling starts. Since this meet will be televised, I would imagine the ceremony will take place about 10 minutes before 11:00.

As mentioned, this meet will be televised. Coverage will be provided by Pac-12 Oregon Channels. You can find the link here or on the Oregon State Schedule  page.

After the conclusion of the meet, "The FALL" Fan Club will again host a Social in Reser Stadium. This Social will be held on level 3, The Club - the place last year's Socials were held. Senior Seth Thomas will be honored with some microphone time at the Social. So come on over and say thanks and good luck for the rest of the season. Sorry, foodies, I haven't yet heard what the menu item will be this time. The Social is free to all FALL members, $5/person or $20/family for non-members.

Member packets that had not been picked up have been mailed. If you didn't receive yours, let us know at the Social.

Before the meet, Board members will again be out in the lobby of Gill to sell t-shirts, bumper stickers and pins. The merchandise will also be available at the Social. All sales benefit "The FALL" Fan club which in turn supports OSU Wrestling!

To do some scouting ahead of time, here are some articles for your reading:
OSU - "Beavers back in top 25" - is worth a look for the photo at the top of the page alone! Good one, Scobel!
OSU - "Three Beavers are Ranked"
Boise State - Martinez is Pac-12 Wrestler of the Week
OregonLive - Scott Nelson's latest article on last week's meets, Thanks to Craig Scharer, FALL Board member, for sharing that Oregon Live link!

Six short days after Sunday's final dual, the Pac-12's will take place in Tempe, AZ at ASU, Feb 27. Tickets are on sale, and can be ordered online. You will also find the schedule for the tournament on that page. Again, thanks, Craig, for sharing that link as well!

An all-session pass is $30 for an adult. If you order online, there is also a $3 fee/ticket and a $10 order charge. I am not sure if those are mailed or will-call. There is not a lot of time left for processing. Normally, the event is not sold out and plenty of tickets will be available at the door. All seating is general admission, so if you buy at the door, just get there early so that you can get your ticket and get in to find a seat before matches start. Sometimes there can be a pretty good line by the time the box office gets started.

Go Beavs! Hang on to that Border Axe!
