Coaches' Update Nov 22
Beavers Recap:
Last Thursday, the Beavers battled George Mason University in Fairfax,
Virginia, where we downed the Patriots 38-9. One of George Masons wins
came as a forfeit in the 125-pound weight class. The other came as a
decision at 165 pounds, as Billy Bigelow lost a close 4-6 match to
George Masons Creed Lumpp. The Beavers then traveled to Annapolis,
Maryland, to compete in the Naval Academy's annual Navy Classic
tournament. The Beavers ended the day in 11th place with Corey Griego
taking home a first-place finish in the 197-pound weight class. Cody
Crawford (285) and Seth Mcleod (184) both finished in fifth place.
Coming Up: While many of us are eating Thanksgiving turkey this week, our Beavers will have a week of discipline and training as we prepare for our next big event. Well be heading to the Las Vegas Invitational Dec. 1-2. The Beavers will be able to compete against some of the top individuals in the nation. Follow FloWrestling for live streaming and Twitter for updates from the invitational. For more information on dates and times, check out the link below for our official schedule.
