NCAA's - Session I Complete

Oregon State Wrestling Fans,

Session I is complete back in Pittsburgh. Oregon State finds itself in a three way tie for 13th with Lockhaven and Rutgers, each having 7.0 points!  The top three are Penn State, Ohio State and Oklahoma State respectively.

Three of the Beavers were victorious in their first matches - Bob Coleman (by major), Ronnie Bresser (by fall!) and Amar Dhesi (by major). Congratulations, guys!

Two of the six Beavers continue on tonight in the Championship bracket - Ronnie Bresser and Amar Dhesi. The other four Beavers have dropped to the Consolation bracket, Devan Turner, Grant Willets, Hunter Williets and Bob Coleman. Hang in there, guys!

FALL Club member Jana Iwasaki sent some photos from this afternoon's session. I have posted them on the FALL's blogsite.

 

One bit of sad news to pass along, long time FALL Club member and one of the original Booster Club members, Bob Newton, passed away this past Saturday, March 16. Memories can be left at the funeral home website. Bob's big smile was a part of the wrestling crowd for many, many years. Our hearts & prayers go out to Bob's wife, Pat, and his whole family. May he rest in Peace.

Session II begins at 7:00 Eastern, 4:00 PM Pacific. The first round of Consolations and the Round of 16 take place this evening. Keep it rolling, guys!
