The Beavers were oh so close to coming home
with a sweep of the California Pac-12 schools, but they couldn't quite
close the deal, losing to the Roadrunners 20-21.
The match victories swung back and forth this evening between the
Roadrunners and the Beavers, but when the final buzzer sounded the score
was 20 all. The criteria that gave the meet to Cal State Bakersfield
was the number of six point wins (falls). CSUB had one at 174, the
Beavers had none.
Congratulations to the Beaver match winners:
125 - Ronnie Bresser (decision)
133 - Joey Palmer (major)
157 - Abraham Rodriquez (major)
184 - Corey Griego (tech fall)
285 - Amar Dhesi (major)
There were so many ways that the result could have been different, but
that's a coulda woulda shoulda situation, so the Beavers will have to
wait until next time.

Sunday, February 7, the final Open Tournament of the season takes place for the rest of the OSU wrestling team. The California Collegiate at San Francisco State begins at 9:00 am.
