Dhesi Honored & This Week's Schedule

Before we move ahead to this week's schedule, we need a look back to last week. Another OSU wrestler picked up the Pac-12 Wrestler of the Week Award. This time it was Amar Dhesi, Beaver Heavyweight, who brought home the award. Congratulations, Amar! You can find more details in Oregon State's article.

While we are covering articles from last week, Craig Scharer, FALL Board member snagged this article at "the Barometer": a very interesting piece about Seth Thomas and his leadership of the team. If you haven't seen it yet, it is well worth reading. Thanks for sharing, Craig!

Looking ahead to this week, the Beavers have a very busy and important Pac-12 schedule. They head for California to take on three Pac-12 opponents.

Stanford is first on the schedule - Thursday evening at 6:30. The only technology available to follow the meet that I can find is a link to Twitter on Stanford's schedule page. They have an article on the upcoming dual with the Beavers posted on their site. Stanford's regular 149, Paul Fox, is out for the season, having knee surgery, according to video clips in their previous post.

Friday night the Beavers will be at Cal Poly for a 7:00 pm dual. Live stats for that meet will be covered by TrackWrestling. Cal Poly's article on the meet is also posted. That article also has a link to video stream at the very top of the page, so you might be able to watch.

The third dual of the weekend will be with Cal State Bakersfield on Saturday, Feb 6, at 5:00 pm. Wrestling will take place at Centennial High School for any of you southern California Beaver fans who'd like to attend and cheer on the Beavs! So far, the Roadrunners have not posted a news article about the Saturday dual, but you can find their recent articles in their archives. I could not find any links for following the meet.

Oregon State has also posted an article about the duals ahead, be sure to check that out.

Sunday, February 7 brings the final Open Tournament of the season for the rest of the OSU wrestling team. Wrestling begins at 9:00 am in the California Collegiate at San Francisco State. Some information can be found in this SFU article. More information can be found on this flier. The semi's and finals will be streamed, beginning at 3:00 here. Participation is not mandatory in open tournaments, but usually some of the Oregon State squad will attend.

Go Beavs!!
