Oklahoma Here Thursday & Pac-12 & NCAA Deadlines

The Oregon State wrestling team faces one of their biggest challenges yet when the #7 Oklahoma Sooners come to town for a 7:00 pm meet in Gill Coliseum this Thursday, Feb. 11. Plan to be here to support your Beavers!!

"The FALL" Fan Club will again be hosting a Social in Reser Stadium's Loge (level 2) after the meet in Gill. Entry is free for all members of "the FALL", and $5/person or $20/family for non-members.

For the foodies out there, the menu for Thursday night will be chicken wings with vegetables and a choice of sauces. Yum! We will also have door prizes and silent auction items. You'll find the prize selection displayed behind the bar area once you are there.

Two more home meets round out the schedule for the season. Due to the time - 5:00 meet - and the fact that it is Valentine's Day, there will be no Social after the Air Force meet on Sunday. We will have one final Social after the Border Battle with Boise on Sunday, Feb 21.

Now for some very important deadlines. Please note - if you are going to the Pac-12's at ASU  Feb. 27, the deadline to reserve a room at the special rate arranged by "The FALL" is tomorrow, Feb 11!! For information on the hotel and how to reserve a room, check the flier. You can make reservations after that, but we can't guarantee that rooms will be available or at that rate.

Next deadline - for hotel rooms for the NCAA's in NYC - Sunday, Feb 14. If you are planning to go to the NCAA's and need a room, we still have about 5 left. The rate is $240+tax per night. NYC is expensive; these are reasonably priced and close to Madison Square Garden where the NCAA's will take place. If you want one of these rooms, reply back to me and I will put you in contact with the person in charge. The rooms will only be held until Feb. 14, this Sunday, then they have to be released.

The Beavers will have one more meet before the weekend is over. As mentioned earlier, Air Force comes to town on Valentine's Day, Sunday, Feb 14. The meet begins at 5:00 pm. There will be no Social following that meet - you are free to take your sweetheart out to dinner after the wrestling is over! (Just be sure to bring your sweetheart with you to the meet!)
